Scone Base Pizza

Thanks to Suzanara for this recipe - she brought this to the JANUARY 2014 gathering and everyone thought it was fabulous! 

Ingredients:

  • 500g Gluten free Flour (normal plain works fine too)
  • a Wodge of vitalite (technical term there)
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard
  • handful of vegan grated cheese
  •  egg replacer equivilent to 2 eggs
  • Almond milk
  • Tomato Puree
  • whatever veg you want for toppings. - Suzanara used onion, courgette, mushrooms, peppers, chopped and soaked sun dried tomatoes
Preparation: 

1. Rub fat into flour, 

2. Stir in the cheese. 

3. Mix egg replacer with almond milk and the mustard.

4. Form a dough and press into a tin. 

5. Cook base at 180c for ten minutes

6. Fry veg in olive oil

7. Spread base with tomato puree

8. Cover with veg, sprinkle with various vegan cheeses and re-bake for ten more minutes


et voila! beautiful pizza
